' My work revolves around the basic principles of 'Minimalism' and 'Wearability'. I like to use natural fabrics and cut them into luxury casuals or lounge wear. 'Priyadarshini Rao's desogns reflect just that.
Creating textures within the fabric with the use of unusual yarns or surface treatment is her strength. With a distinct focus on silhouettes and the use of natural fabrics, Rao has mastered the rare art of being 'simple' with her play of colors, no loud embellishments, being contemporary yet having a distinct touch of class and dignity and even though she calls her label more Urban Bohemian, I find it chic- a combination of international and ethnic sensibilities. Understated yet always managing to strike the right connect.
