yet another attempt at glorifying love... this time from mr.bhansali- a man known for his aesthetic sense of styling and visual mastery. And he succeeds- yet again to stunn you with exquisite sets, dreamy colors, lotuses and flowing tranquil rivers with artistic boats that run on their own... ooh la la la....its a dream that im ready to live in anyday..but i didnt understand what the writer wanted to say- mr.bhansali says that he wanted to show love in all its splendour- unconditional, matchless, love that loves without asking for anything ...but that didnt exactly come acrooss that way... ranbir raj seemed to want things for himself...he was torn between the selfish and the selfless- more the selfish... well, no harm in that either...just that whenever a story is told, you must keep in mind that the viewer or reader needs to perceive it and interpret it exactly the way you want it...if you persist in assuming that the viewer knows what you are trying to say, then you need to go stuy story telling......

superlative performances, talented actors, brilliant technicians, renowned producers and fantastic marketing seem wasted when the directors' vision does not come through...
granted, mr.bhansalis' films have a niche audience yet i think an intelligent filmmaker is one who wants to share his intelligence and his emotions, his passions and his deepest woes, to educate and take along with him his viewers-- in fact true story telling is exactly that- encouraging the viewers to grow along with oneself and this is what is sorely missing here- the disconnect, the vague insinuations...

A word of congratulations to the art director asz well as ms.anuradha vakil who, in her characteristic dignified cuts and styling, manages to impress heavily.. In fact sonam and rani need to credit the lady for their wonderful outfits and styling that has enhanced and built the character.... ms.vakil has proved her mettle yet again- her dresses ooze sensuality and class- a rare combination....
